We develop high-quality contract fabrics for feel-good environments with aesthetics and function. Our flame-retardant blackout fabrics and curtains, as well as decorative and upholstery fabrics, give hotels, restaurants, care homes, cinemas, offices and schools an appropriate atmosphere. In addition to high quality and aesthetic appeal, our fabrics are characterized by their high functionality. They can darken, improve room acoustics, reduce bacteria, save energy and serve as glare protection. Our upholstery fabrics are easy to clean, antibacterial and impermeable to moisture. We have been based in Bielefeld since 1722 and can now look back on 300 years of company history.

Object fabrics are manufactured for use in public buildings. And one thing is paramount here: safety.
Hotels and cruise ships should offer a safe home away from home, cinemas and theaters should be a place of relaxation and enjoyment and our children should be able to play and learn safely in schools and kindergartens.
So far, only fabrics made from polyester FR and Trevira CS offer this level of safety. Here, the flame retardancy is firmly anchored in the fiber and remains permanent even after repeated washing.
Our textiles are permanently flame-retardant and meet the high requirements for fabrics in public buildings. The focus is on their technical properties. For example, we have their durability, light and wash fastness or resistance to disinfectants tested in independent and accredited test laboratories and confirmed by certificates. DELIUS textiles are also harmless to health and legally compliant. Regular monitoring guarantees our consistent quality.

Over 9 generations, our family business has been run by the Delius family. Since the beginning of 2020, Dr. Marc Schmidt has been managing the company together with our long-standing Managing Director Kai Hofmeister.
