Processing of lining fabrics

In the hotel, darkening the room is an important aspect in the selection of fabrics. Not always, one can choose a fabric with darkening or energy saving function. But there is the possibility of feed fabrics with lining fabrics.

Which fabrics are suitable as functional lining:

Dark Lining + Dark 300 Lining: Darkening effect of 99%
Black Lining + Black 280 Lining: Darkening effect of100%
Cool Lining: Energy efficient fabric

Processing lining fabrics without wrinkles

The curtain is processed with a folding strip. Below the fold belt a loop tape is sewn. Then the curtain sets in wrinkles and applies the lining fabric on it, which is provided with a velcro.

Advantage of the processing: You need for the food less lining fabrics.

Doubling curtain with lining

The curtain is fully lined with the lining fabric, just the seam remains open. The folding strip is stitched to lining and curtain, and both are placed together in wrinkles.

Completely detachable

Curtain and lining are treated as wholesome decorative fabrics and connected only by a velcro on the sides. This processing has the advantage that, for example, the curtain can be separated from the lining to wash.

Make-up hem

The hem manufacturing of a curtain or a sheer is important for the total appearance of a window. The more exclusive a room is, the more detailed the seam of a curtain should be.

Classical Seam

The classical seam widths are between 10 and 20 centimetres. Generally, the seam should be folded twice and be weighted with a lead tape. The weight of the lead tape has to be adjusted to the weight of the fabric.

Side Seams

The side seams should be folded twice. One can choose between a blind hem or a visible seam. The width of the side seams should be at least two centimetres.

Visible Seam

The visible seam can also be described as "open stitch". It is a classical sewing machine seam, which is visible on both sides of the fabrics. The finer the yarn is and the more the colour of the yarn matches the fabric, the less visible the seam becomes.

Blind Hem

The blind hem makes the seam almost invisible. The thicker the fabric, the less visible the hem is. The blind hem is particularly recommended for velvets, satins, taffetas and dimouts.
